Currently Intouch Healthcare operates as a private-fee telehealth service. Medicare rebates require the patient to have seen the practitioner (or someone in the same practice) face-to-face within the previous 12 months; a criteria fully online services cannot meet. We keep our prices low so you don’t need a rebate to access affordable care.
Can I get a prescription through a virtual consultation appointment?
Yes. Our telehealth consultants can issue new and repeat prescriptions, sent to you instantly as an eScript via SMS or email. You can take this to any pharmacy in Australia. Note: Schedule 8 medications and certain Schedule 4 drugs (such as benzodiazepines, codeine, zolpidem) are not prescribed via telehealth and should be sourced from your regular GP.
